Winfried Lachenmayr graduated as a Tonmeister from the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Austria, in 2013.

Work experiences brought him to the Building Acoustics Departement of the FH Rosenheim (Germany), the Glyndebourne Opera House (UK), the Banff Centre (Canada) and Mueller-BBM acoustic consulting.
Since 2012, Winfried is active as an acoustician at renown consulting company Mueller-BBM in Munich, working mainly in the fields of concert hall- and studio acoustics.

He is currently a Marie-Curie-Fellow within an EU Training Network and persuing his PhD at the Musikhochschule Detmold (Erich-Thienhaus-Institute) investigating on reverberation for concert spaces.
