Adelman-Larsen was educated a muscian and sound engineer from Berklee College of Music and an acoustical engineer from the Technical University of Denmark. He has authored the book "Rock and Pop Venues, Acoustical and Architectural Design" published on Springer Verlag and has invented the aQflex and aQtube technology of variable and mobile sound absorbers based on the finding of high absorption values also at low frequencies in specially formed, inflated thin plastic membranes.
