Steve started Equity Sound in 1984, designing and manufacturing speakers for installations and sound reinforcement, then in 1996 Steve joined Harman's automotive division. From 2000 to 2006 he managed Harman's global automotive acoustics Advanced Technology Group that included industry icons Dr. Richard Small and D. B. (Don) Keele. In 2006 Steve became an independent consultant working in pro, consumer and automotive audio where he has provided design, business and technology guidance for many companies in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Steve holds 15 patents, serves as Chair of the AES Standards Committee SC04-03, Loudspeaker Measurement and Modelling & chairs the Technical Committee: Loudspeakers & Headphones.
