Involved in performance, music, and audio production in the entertainment industries for over 40 years including overlaps into film and television as well as touring and concert production. Dr. Bulla began his professional career as a musician/writer with cuts published with 1010 Music, Millhouse Music, and EMI Music Publishing. His engineering and production credits include both “major” and many independent labels most notably producer-engineer for the critically acclaimed world-premier recordings of Carl Loewe's Grand Duo for Violin & Piano (Op. 80) and Julius Rontgen's Sonata in E Major (Premier Recordings, NY), associate producer/engineer for award-winning songwriter Jill Colucci's “No Regrets” (Liberty Records Songwriter Series), and quality control mastering engineer for the double Grammy Award winning Hank Williams, “The Complete Hank Williams” boxed set (Mercury-Polygram Records). Wesley produced and recorded the double Grammy nominee Dove award-winning “In Bright Mansions” featuring the world-renown Fisk University Jubilee Singers (Curb Records) and produced the Fisk University Jubilee Singers feature for the BBC's “Songs of Praise” TV series. He is also a creative and academic author and has published in AudioMedia-USA, -Europe, and -Asia, Mix Magazine, Hearing Review, the Journal of the Percussive Arts Society (PAS), and the Journal of the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA). Teaching at Belmont University (Nashville TN) for 23 years, Wesley holds a B.M (music performance), a M.M.E. (music education), and earned his Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Hearing Science from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine with specialty in auditory perceptual research. As Professor of Audio Engineering, he is the former Dean, currently serving as Director of the MS in Audio Engineering program at the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business. Wesley serves on the Steering Committee of P & E Wing of The Recording Academy, the board of directors of the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA), and the Leadership Music Studio/Audio Day Program Committee.
