Andrew J. Horsburgh is a Lecturer in Media Technology at Southampton Solent University. He received his Bachelors with Honours in Music Technology from the University of the West of Scotland. He has recently submitted a doctoral thesis studying the effects of spatial audio reproduction within non-ideal listening environments. His research focuses on the application and perception of surround sound and audio including the capture, production workflows, distribution, and reproduction of materials. Concurrent to his position at Solent University - Andrew is a live sound specialist having worked across the UK as an in-house and a freelance engineer.
