Abstract:
• Pascal Besnard, sound engineer, will talk about Radio France's expertise in live recording. In musical styles such as pop, jazz, and rock recording in live situation gives an advantage to the artistic performance and better reflects both the artist/band energies and emotions than in-studio recordings, DAW, and postproduction works. Based upon Pascal Besnard's own experience, the presentation will be illustrated with various samples of direct stereo live recordings that have been released on CDs.
