Abstract:
• Large halls and speech intelligibility - STI & RASTI calculations, the basic rules to make sure that your messages will be heard.
• Ethernet Standards for audio applications (Cobranet, EtherSound, SuperMac, Aviom, etc.. - How these systems work, what they are designed for, is there a niche for the cable industry to produce good quality Ethernet cables for live use, etc.
• Show Control - Developed for the theme park industry, the Show Control technology is now found in a variety of applications and for any kind of budget. Beyond theme parks, Show Control techniques are used in live concerts, cruise ships, museum exhibitions; the list is endless. This session will take a plunge in the various techniques used for Show Control, from computer software to sophisticated machinery. Safety considerations, budget feasibility, and level of user interface will also be discussed.
