His work has helped shape the successes of countless recordings of all genres from the LP era through the present. Doug will talk about his philosophy of audio mastering and illustrate with practical examples of specific approaches and techniques. Special attention will be given to the loss of dynamic range in today’s recordings and its effect on the listening experience and the health of the record industry in general.
