Audio at Home: Advances in consumer audio technology for the home
April 6-8, 2006
New Hall, Cambridge, UK
Audio continues to be a vital part of home entertainment systems but is
increasingly required to complement accompanying video and to fit into
the requirements of home decor and consumers' lifestyles. This
conference examines how forward-thinking home audio providers can
successfully embrace these new paradigms in order to survive and prosper
in the future. The conference explores the market place, industrial
design and new high definition audio/video formats; it also examines how
transducer and electronics design is adapting to the needs of the modern
household.
This two day AES UK section conference presents a lively and informative
programme of talks and seminars from respected engineers, designers,
academics and market researchers, with plenty of opportunity for both
formal and informal discussion. It is followed by an AES Technical
Education Day, with numerous practical demonstration sessions. Open to
all, this is closely based on the format which was so well received at
last year's conference. There is a reduced fee for AES members and
pre-registration is required.
Who should attend? Anyone delivering audio into the home: audio
equipment designers and manufacturers; audio system installers and
resellers; audio content providers; broadcasters; telecom companies and
ISPs; computer manufacturers.
