AES New York 2005 Starts Friday!
AES New York 2005
October 7-10, 2005
New York, NY - Jacob Javits Convention Center
The most anticipated audio event of the year starts on Friday here
in New York so make plans to see "Where Audio Comes Alive!" We're
expecting to shatter all previous attendance records which can
partly be explained by the massive exhibition floor packed with
around 450 exhibitors.
With the very affordable
"exhibits-only" badge
you can see more events this year than ever before so there's no reason
not to come out and wander the exhibition floor or visit one of these
SPECIAL EVENTS
such as the Keynote Address by Rupert Neve, An Afternoon
with Ray Dolby, The Platinum Series, The Grammy Soundtable, or
the Heyser Lecture by Jozef Zwislocki.
But probably the full benefit of the convention can only be experienced
with a "full program" badge which will get you into the rest of the
TECHNICAL PROGRAM.
This year's convention committee has gone to new heights and the
program includes some exciting new tracks: Master Classes, Broadcast
Events, Training Sessions and a complete track of Live Sound Events.
There's something here for everyone from basic Tutorials up to
advanced Paper Sessions and Workshops.
If you haven't registered yet then hurry before the advance
registration discount ends on Tuesday:
ON-LINE REGISTRATION.
Otherwise, you can register at the registration desk at the Javits
and pay the higher on-site registration fees.

AES-KAREs For Katrina Hurricane Victims
As our President, Theresa Leonard, mentioned last week, we have
been busy setting up a system for accepting donations and other forms
of help for AES members who were recently devastated by Hurricane
Katrina. This system has just been launched on the AES home page and
includes a donation form for making credit card donations, and a link
to a web-based forum on the AES Nashville website where you can
get in touch with those affected and they can get in touch with you.
There will also be facilities at the 119th AES convention for donations
to be made. Thank you for your support of this worthy cause!
