Subjective Evaluations of Automotive Audio Systems

Document Thumbnail

A method of performing double-blind sound-quality evaluations using binaural recording techniques is presented. Automotive audio systems of multiple vehicles can then be easily compared using panelists to determine consumer preferences and to help establish design hierarchy. The relative advantages of this type of analysis method is demonstrated via a comparison with other types of subjective evaluation.
