Abstract: The Swedish Broadcasting Corporation (SR) has performed subjective assessments on low bit-rate audio codecs for ISO/MPEG/Audio. As it is likely that the same codec can be used for DAB the evaluation is of great importance for broadcasters. This paper presents the methodology, results and conclusions from the two listening tests performed in July 1990 and April/May 1991.
