The AES recognizes and honors those who have made outstanding
contributions to the field of audio in engineering, technology,
service, and the arts through its Awards Program.
In 2017, Ville Pulkki was presented with the
AES Silver Medal Award in recognition of exceptional contributions in the understanding and development of spatial audio techniques for audio production and reproduction.
