The AES recognizes and honors those who have made outstanding
contributions to the field of audio in engineering, technology,
service, and the arts through its Awards Program.
In 2000, Kira Asakura was presented with the
AES Citation Award for contribution to the AES Japan Section as a founder of the Section and 48 years of service as a Section Officer.
