On a cold day I warm up with my precious collection of boatanchors which includes several HP instruments (334A, 8640B, 3581C, 141T/8556A), several Tek instruments (2232, AA501/SG505), and GenRad stuff (1650A, 1982).
Oh yes, I also have a 1939 HRO Sr.
1990 MSc in Physics
1994 PhD in Operations Research.
Worked in the IT industry for 20 years. Currently advisor to a niche consulting firm called New Frontier Solutions specializing in mathematical optimization models for the oil and gas industry.
Interesting stuff I've deigned: a DSP box for Capella Artists (the Thumper Th100), a vowel synthesizer for guitars, and a bandwidth compressor for SDR receivers.
