About

I've been been involved with the Audio Engineering Society since the mid 1990s and have been on the executive committee of the Toronto Section since 2003. I've held various roles on the executive committee, serving as Recording Secretary twice (2005 — 2007 and 2009 -- 2010), a term as Chair (2007 — 2009), and have been the Treasurer since 2010.

I've presented numerous times at Toronto section meetings. I've also presented at Audio Engineering Society Conventions and at conferences for the Canadian Acoustical Association. I am also a member of the Canadian Acoustical Association.

Education Background

I have a Master of Science (1995) from the University of Waterloo. I studied in the Audio Research Group under John Vanderkooy and Stanley Lipshitz where my thesis was on higher Order Ambisonic Systems. I did my undergraduate degree in Physics at the University of New Brunswick and received a BSc (Honours) in 1992.

Employment History

Since 1996, I've been an audio consultant with Engineering Harmonics in Toronto. As a consultant, I've worked on numerous project types, such as stadia, arena, performing arts centres, concert halls, educational facilities, judicial facilities, healthcare facilities, and corporate facilities. My project work involves the design and specification of systems and their integration into these spaces. My particular interests are sound system design and modelling.
