Amandine Pras

Amandine Pras teaches Digital Audio Arts at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta. Since her graduation from the Paris Conservatoire she has released about 30 albums of new music and alternative jazz on international labels, including the SACD Where is Pannoninca? in 5.1 (Songlines). Her recent productions received special attention: Nébuleuses (iBook) won the Opus Award in Quebec; The Constant (Intakt) was awarded “Best Album of the Year” by Jazz Magazine with a special mention for production, and NPR critic Kevin Whitehead said that its “sound has a distinctive edge that pops out of the speaker”. She was also an Associate Producer on two albums for which David Frost won the 2016 Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Classical, including Chamber Works by Jerzy Fitelberg (Chandos) that was nominated for the Best Classical Album JUNO.
