Development projects

AES-X011: Fiber-Optic Audio Connections: Connectors and Cables Being Used and Considered for Audio
A secretariat-formatted version of this draft will be prepared ASAP for the working group to consider, with revisions to require OM2 or better for multimode, OS1 or better for singlemode, removal of APC, and removal of glossary.

AES-X123: XL Connectors to Improve Electromagnetic Compatibility
J. Brown new wording for shell connections and filtering (low-inductance capacitor and ferrite bead) is not available. BCO will contact J Brown.

AES-X189: Connector for surround microphones

Nascent AES-X199 Pluggable terminal strips
Secretariat will send chair project initiation form with updated scope to specify the larger version of this connector. Members of the working group to be surveyed with regards the current usage of the miniature version.

The next meeting will be scheduled in conjunction with the AES 134th Convention in Rome, Italy, 2013-05.
