The meeting was convened by chairman Bruce C. Olson.
The agenda and the report of the previous meeting, 2009-10-10, were accepted.
AES48-R: Review of AES48-2005, AES standard on interconnections - Grounding and EMC practices - Shields of connectors in audio equipment containing active circuitry
A CFC for reaffirmation of AES48-2005 was published 2010-04-06. There was no discussion at this meeting.
AES54-R: Review of:
AES54-1-2008, Connection of cable shields within connectors attached to portable balanced audio cables

Status: No action requested or required
AES-X125: Input filtering for electromagnetic compatibility
Project scope: To describe and explain the techniques that have been found to be practicable and effective for RF filtering.
Current goal: PWD, Goal date: 2010-02
Woodgate to coordinate with Whitlock to forward the recommendations of the TG, SEC to assemble latest bits.
AES-X152: Signal levels and impedances of analog audio interfaces
Project scope: To develop a standard for signal levels and circuit impedances of audio system components and for the specification of these quantities in product data sheets
Intent: Propose revisions to IEC for MT 61938, Target: 2009
Discussion: Because there is a proposal for maintenance of IEC 61938 initiated by a project in SC-04-04, J. Woodgate has proposed a revision for the WG to consider proposing to the IEC. The intent is to add an additional clause for Professional Audio to the interface sections for Microphone- and Line-level signals. A good discussion of this proposal ensued and resulted in an updated document that was posted to the SC-05-05 document site by M. Yonge on 2009-10-10.
Revisions were made to the document which has already been posted to the document site.
Comments need to be submitted immediately so that this proposal can be submitted to the IEC as soon as possible. Please provide comments no later than 01 JUN 2010.
