A liaison with AES Standards working group SC-04-04 on Microphones is necessary with regard to project AES-X189, "Connector for surround microphones". [This can be handled informally for the time being.]
It is proposed to amend AES14, after reaffirmation, by adding an annex extending its coverage to miniature XL type connectors that are now available from multiple vendors. A Report showing that miniature XL type connectors are now available from multiple vendors is also proposed.
