Secretariat formatting awaited
Now that the AES31-2 BWF standard has been augmented by the latest ammendment to cover file sizes greater than 4 GB, it was felt that we should consider offering the combined standard to IEC to make an international standard. To be progresed as soon as possible by the secretariat.
Holzinger offered a draft of a proposed new chunk, to replace or extemd the current EBU Cue chunk in a BWF file. This would use 64-bit addresses to provide markers into large audio files, both PCM and MPEG-coded. This draft is at an early stage and will be discussed in EBU P/AGA on Monday. Holzinger will post a copy of the draft proposal to the group document site.
There was no new business
The next meeting will be scheduled in conjunction with the AES 125th Convention in New York, NY., US., 2009-10.
