Status: Editing in the meeting, secretary to complete.

Discussion: Since the meeting in Amsterdam the document had been slightly changed regarding the wording. However, as it still needed editing in order to conform to the standards formatting, the working group used this meeting to go through the document for simplification and further optimization. This was done by helpful guidance from the standards secretary. The work was not completely finished during the meeting, however, standards secretary M. Yonge kindly offered his help to complete the final formatting of the draft which was acknowledged by the working group. It is expected that the document will reach PWD status before the next meeting.

AES-X172: Forensic analysis of Electric Network Frequency (ENF)

Discussion: The background research regarding this topic has now reached a level that makes it possible to start up the writing.

AES43-R: Review of AES43-2000: AES standard for forensic audio - Criteria for the authentication of analog audio tape recordings
Project scope: This standard specifies the minimum procedure for the authentication of analog audio tape recordings intended to be offered as evidence or otherwise utilized in civil, criminal, or other fact finding proceedings. It does not specify or restrict additional testing procedures that can be used.
