The agenda and the report of the previous meeting, 2004-10-30, were accepted as written.
AES-X83 Loudspeaker Polar Radiation Measurements Suitable for Room Acoustics
The latest draft "X83-PTD-050210.DOC" [developed from x83-ptd-041030b.doc] was reviewed in detail. A long discussion covered outstanding issues item by item. All changes and corrections are added.
It is imperative that this Standard should be completely compatible with AES2-R and AES-X72 (SC-04-03) where work is continuing. AES-X83 will be a subset of AES2 as pertains to room acoustic modelling programs. Examples of required compatibility are data file structure and definition of centre of rotation and of cabinet reference point.
This last updated draft will be posted on the FTP not later August 31st, will be ready for approval and should be discussed at the next New York meeting.
The next meeting is scheduled to be held in conjunction with the AES 119th Convention in New York, USA, 2005-10.
