Project Initiation
Guidance and on-line form for initiation of AES Standards projects.
According the the AESSC procedures:
" 4.2.1 The initiation of work in the field of standards may be proposed by any person, whether a member of the Society or not. A standards proposal may be a document of any length -- from a sketchy outline to a detailed proposed standard. The standards proposal shall be directed to the AESSC Secretariat, either directly or through a Sub-Committee. If the proposal pertains to the field of audio engineering or the allied arts and sciences and fills a demonstrable need not met elsewhere, the AESSC Secretariat will assign an appropriate project to the Sub-Committee, with a recommendation for the assignment to the appropriate Sub-Committee for further study and action, or form a new Sub-Committee according to these procedures. "

AESSC rules
The current version was approved by AESSC letter ballot and published in the September 1993 JAES. Category-D IEC liaison rules have been added and the designator "ID" for information documents has been changed to "id". Subclause 12.1.2, 12.1.2, and 12.2 have been added or modified to clarify Internet communications. Subclause 16.4 has been added to provide rules for translation. Project designators clarified. All changes are in the approval process.
