Audio in Wartime
Sean Davies
Audio, in its widest sense has been used in two World Wars for several purposes:
- 1. Detection of the enemy
- 2. Transmission of information, usually covert
- 3. Misinformation to the enemy
- 4. Propaganda.
- 5. Public information.
Examples and technical principles will be given of all of these together with extracts from significant recordings.
