AES Section Meeting Reports
Pennsylvania State University - April 11, 2012
Summary
The presentation by Curtis Craig involved a 2 hour mixing session within Logic Pro Studios in which he took freshly recorded audio tracks and applied dynamic processing and filtering techniques to make a presentable mix. Curtis Craig is a professor of Sound Design at Pennsylvania State University and has many years of experience with mixing and editing both musical tracks and play scores. During this mixdown, he touched on concepts such as reverb, compression, delay, and filtering while giving an emphasis of the concentration and study of active listening. He also held a question and answer segment after his mixdown was complete to answer any questions aspiring musicians or producers had for mixing or producing music.
