Summary

Chris Spahr from Sennheiser/Neumann ( http://www.sennheiserusa.com/aboutsec_events_sound-academy_presenters_chris-spahr) demonstrated a new digital mic-over-fiber system. It incorporates pieces of the Neumann DMI-8 , Ethersound, and the Youcan fiber system in one box. This allows for incredibly long runs in both live sound and recording systems, control of each mic in the system (from pre levels to patterns, etc.), and a very low noise floor.

The majority of the Neumann and Senneiser digital mic catalogue was shown at this event.
