Welcoming address and introductions by Gary Barclay.
Tim Bartoo of Harmonic Functions, accompanied by projected slides, presented "Localization in Sound Reinforcement Systems." Source-oriented reinforcement was described and demonstrated using a multi-channel discrete playback system. Multi-channel solutions were contrasted with stereo and the design and utilization of a delay matrix mixer was described and demonstrated. Large stage productions that have used source-oriented reinforcement were described.
Q&As were interspersed throughout and after the presentation.
