Meeting Topic: Introductions to new of?cers/ Ideas to expand AES CRAS chapter

Other business or activities at the meeting: Other Business During Meeting: Attendees discussed posting AES success stories on CRAS website, which would show the student population the perks of being involved. Also students in attendance conversed about the resources they have on campus, such as staff members who would possibly be willing to run clinics. An AES fund was also a topic that was bounced around between those in attendance. Tutoring nights for students who are having trouble in certain topics perked interest for those who attended, as well as the AES student chapter getting involved with cleaning the campuses/equipment over Christmas break (obviously only an option for those not going home for the holidays). Future Discussion Topics: AES Funding possibilities, picking 2 clinics to present before the holiday break (Home Studio Clinic seemed to be a popular choice to those in attendance), promotional ideas. The students in attendance at today's meeting were all in agreement about campaigning being an important action, so there will be an extra get- together on 2011-11-19 to make ?yers. These ?yers will be handed out before the next meeting on 2011- 11-23.

Summary

Jimmy Naron introduced both Ryan Benton as the new President of AES and Lauren
Brock as the new Vice President/Secretary. Gave a quick overview of the
responsibilities behind each position. Naron discussed the fundamentals of AES and the
importance of campaigning to get other students involved. As a whole, the attendees at
the meeting came up with promotional ideas, possible clinic ideas, and a list of goals to
accomplish (see below).

Post meeting information onto CRAS website.
Post memos on campus bulletin boards.
Flyers to hand out by next meeting (2011-11-23)

Live Logic, Protools Mixing, Circuit Bending, Sound Design, Big PA Walkthrough, AES
Representative Speech, Acoustics, Home Studio, Soldering, Guitar Building,Voice

Goals:
Increased attendance to meetings
Have 2 clinics before 2011-12-15
