Summary
Recording and reproduction of sound field, which has three-dimensional information, with reality is very difficult and still has many problems. Assoc. Prof. Shigeto Takeoka has been researching about applications of 1-bit signal for super-multichannel control system, utilizing its good affinity with analog signalwhich is one of the advantages of 1-bit signal.
In this meeting, he introduced following topics with demonstrations: recording of cultural sound heritage using 8-channel mobile semiconductor recorder, directivity controllable ultrasonic sound loudspeaker with 576-channel individually controlled transducers, and 1024-channel 1-bit microphone array.
