Composer for media and Capital Faculty member Sean Beeson led Capital's more than 150 Music Technology students in a sampling project called Student Body. Students in Capital's Applied Recording Projects class are leading the Student Body project, with assistance from faculty Sean Beeson, Steve Thomas, and Chad Loughrige. For this project the Music Technology students sampled shouts, claps, stops, growls, and whispers from a dozen different microphone perspectives in Capital's 1,200 seat concert hall. The samples will now be taken and made into a Kontakt 4 sample library that will be available for free download at http://www.studentbodyproject.com upon completion.
