The American River Regional section hosted our first movie night with the newly released Art and Science of Sound Recording DVD created by Alan Parsons. Several of our members attended and a few new audio students came out to see what the Sacramento AES club hosts. We watched almost half of the first DVD, sections included: history of recording, studio acoustics, microphones and consoles and controllers.
The next movie night date is set for early 2011, we will continue to show the DVD's in order. We were pleased to have Weston Ray (chair) and Darin Stull (vice-chair) from the Sacramento AES professional section join us.
