Summary

The audio technicians Fernando Vélez and Daniel Lillo showed the assistants the facilities of the Teatro Sánchez Aguilar, halls and control rooms for lightning and sound stations, acoustic design, along with the mixing console and lightning setup. The Main Hall has 952 seats and has a moveable ceiling. There are two booths, one for radio and another one for recording, and there is a small pit. Patchbays are at catwalk level and in several points on stage, which go to a main patchbay backstage where it can be routed where it needs to. The FOH console is positioned in the hall towards the rear and there is a line array sound system mounted. The Zaruma hall has 130 seats and can be set up according to the client's preferences with chairs, poufs, tables, or it may be empty. It is fit for experimental works, cafe-concerts and for children.

There was a discussion about acoustics, console placement and calibration of the system that was demonstrated by the technicians.

This event was a student-member only resulting in 3 new student members. The 7 non-members were some of the students of Prof. Pedro Segovia's acoustics class who asked to join us for class purposes.
