Summary

On February 6, 2019, Warm Audio's President Bryce Young and CRAS AES officers
held an event in the CRAS live sound venue for students to hear Mr. Young give a presentation about the history of Warm Audio and it's line of products, as well as insight into their marketing.

Warm Audio was founded in 2011, when Bryce Young started making his own
Microphone preamps after becoming obsessed with them. Warm Audio's first product was the WA12 MKII- Discrete Mic Pre. This mic pre is a single channel, and is make with premium CineMag Transformers. Following the production of the WA12, Warm Audio created more variations of preamps. The TB12 Tone Beast brought controls to shape the tone to the pre, and the WA-412 four channel brought more inputs for the great tone that came with the original WA12.

When Warm Audio's WA76 Discrete Compressor was announced, hundreds of people
pre-ordered. Bryce says that this is when he realized that Warm Audio was stepping into the spotlight as a manufacturer. Warm Audio also makes the WA-2A Opto Compressor, another affordable take on the legendary LA-2A Compressor. The line of high quality analog audio products doesn't end there, Warm Audio boasts many more, such as their EQP-WA Tube EQ, and their WA73 and WA73-EQ British Mic Pre which is made with the same transformers as the original Neve preamps, as well as pots made in the UK keeping it as British as possible.

Warm Audio is also a force to be reckoned with in the world of microphones. Offering a large line of microphones that are modeled after legendary classics, there is a microphone for every use in their lineup. The WA-87 which is modeled after the original Neumann U87, the WA-14, with a CK12 style capsule, the WA-47 Tube condenser, WA-47jr FET condenser, the WA-84 small diaphragm condenser, and the WA-251 Tube condenser which was recently announced at NAMM 2019.

With the way marketing is changing, Warm Audio has focused greatly on their marketing strategy. With a fantastic professional video crew, they bring in artists to a studio to film a music video using Warm Audio products. Bryce referred to this as their "Grassroots" movement. For audio. Warm Audio is also a sponsor of Pensados Place.
The event concluded with plenty of Warm Audio t-shirts, hats, lanyards, and pins being
given away, as well as a raffle for a WA-87 and a WA-47jr.
