Summary

James Oliver thanked attendees for making the trek to Port Perry.

Jeremiah Karni, Application Support at Adamson, was the first presenter and began with a video detailing their manufacturing process, scheduling routines, and procedures. Adamson is one of the few speaker companies to build virtually all aspects of their design. This ensures proprietary integrity.

He then introduced team presenting at tonight's meeting.

James Oliver returned to give a brief history and overview of the company after giving the audience members an opportunity to introduce themselves. Adamson's primary customers come from the touring market, and often from Europe. He also discussed their manufacturing philosophies. They've had tremendous growth over the last 5 years and have distributors in over 40 countries.

Brian Fraser, Product Manager, spoke next, focusing largely on Adamson's line arrays. He also went over the background of their technological developments and patents.

Ben Cabot, Director of Marketing and Sales, provided a background of their older technology. Brian returned to explain the new system topology, including setup and connections.

After a short break, Donal Cox, Hardware Development, delved into the component design of the amplifiers; and Morten Lave, Software Development, discussed the network side of things.

The evening ended with an extensive tour of Adamson's manufacturing facilities which covers over 80,000 sq. ft. Semi-automation is employed whenever possible. Every item goes through a quality control check. Items are balanced between made-to-inventory and made-to-order. Some parts are pre-built and stored to facilitate efficient fulfilment. Any inventory is already sold and rarely stored over 24 hours.

Some socializing followed in the main office before the meeting ended.
