AES Beijing Section (the 5th meeting of 2017)
On October 31, 2017, the AES Beijing Section held the fifth meeting this year. The theme of this event is to discuss the AES67 standard.
At the members meeting, Chairman Wang Shusen invited Zhao Bingkun, the honorary chairman, made his greeting works. He introduced with great interest the AES143 Convention in New York, United States, which he just attended. He also shared that the association will be held at the end of the year to meet entrepreneurs and experts, and kindly invited the AES member in Beijing to participate in the meeting to be together to celebrate the New Year.
At the beginning of the technical seminar, Wang Shusen introduced the document of AES67 standard. Immediately afterwards, Mr. Zhao Jian, the chief representative of MNA Greater China, was invited to give a keynote speech on the specific content and application scope of the AES67 standard. Then, Zhu Jie Member of Beijing, Leader of the Dreaming Fomular in Beijing, introduced the performance and application status of the company adopting AES67 standard. Chu Qian, from Genelec, demonstrated the whole network audio system based on AES67 standard interconnection equipment, and made a good practical system explanation for Zhao Jian's explanation. Mr. Yu Yong, from Infomedia also introduced their experience in implementing AoIP using the AES67 standard in the radio field.
We all agreed that this discussions on the AES67 standard are very timely and effective and we all benefit greatly. Look forward to further discussions on the AES70 standard.
Afternoon activities continue to arrange training sessions for listening tester camps. Today's keynote speaker is the executive vice Chair,Yu Xiao. He illustrated the relationship between subjective evaluation and sound reinforcement systems using a wealth of charts and data, explained the causes of sound quality problems in practice, and how to identify problems and how to improve sound quality through listening. Everyone was attracted to the detailed technical analysis and animation presented by him. He also gained a thorough understanding of the frequent problems of the sound reinforcement system and learned an effective solution to the problem.
