Summary

AES @ UM decided to hold a beat-making workshop, hosted by our very own Connor Wood, a senior in the Performing Arts Technology department. Utilizing our very own Music Technology Lab, we were able to put 12 separate people on computers to make their own music along in Ableton Live.

Connor talked about navigating Ableton, utilizing samples, and creating loops in the program, and allowed each participant to create their own 'beat', providing them with tips and tricks along the way.

We concluded the session by sharing some of the work we made in the workshop, and celebrating with some pizza.
