Cesare Marchesini introduced the magnetic recording technology focusing on open reel tape recording: aside the basics about the main recording/playback parameters, Cesare provided some recording samples used in modern musical production, pointing out how this technology can be effectively used in conjunction with digital audio conversion.
Roberto Barbolini presented the basics about disc cutting technologies and introduced the main principles about mastering for vinyl.
