CRAS Students got the chance to experience what their internships might entail through an exercise put together by the CRAS Internship Department called the "Internship Bootcamp".
There are four stations set up for this event. Live Sound, Studio, Food Prep and Manager Station. The students are also split up into four groups and each group gets a a chance at each station. They are graded on how well they perform and the group with the highest score is the winner!
In live sound students are tasked with troubleshooting. Something doesn't work and they have to figure out what and why.
In the Studio they have to get some mic's set up, tested and signal into Pro Tools. Then tear it all down.
At the Food Prep station they had to take a few food orders from the students and staff and deliver them in a timely manner.
The Manager Station consists of one on one interviews and researching requests made by clients to get prices and availability on what they want.
