The meeting opened at 8:02pm with introductions for the President and Vice President
and welcomed the new secretary. After that current President, Victoria H, went into the
upcoming events coming up. On May 19th Jeff Thomas will be hosting a Sub-kick build
meeting that will focus on what a sub-kick is and some of the ways to go about building
one before the sub-kick build that will happen on June 9th. On May 24th Blue
Microphones will be at the school to give a presentation and announce the raffle winner
for the Bluebird microphone. When she was done she opened the floor to possible
future ideas, letting the attendees of the meeting know that the Metal Mix Clinic idea
from a previous meeting would not be an option for a little while due to scheduling
conflicts. The first idea was to take a tour of the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix.
A student run live concert was also put on the board as an event held in the Live Sound
Room in Gilbert that the students involved in the meetings would put together and run
with students participating as talent as well as engineers. There was a lot of excitement
about a possible event to fill in the empty spot for June 3rd where there would be an
audio competition amongst students where we would have audio jeopardy, cable wrap-
battles, guess that frequency, and an obstacle course where you have to set up the
club PA in the Live Sound Room at the Gilbert campus and have project staff and
teachers be judges. A possible name for the event is CRAS Olympics.
