Summary

We had detailed explanations on the development background of the 64ch audio recorder, TASCAM DA-6400, especially for the following:

·The fragmentation the characteristics and the selection of recording media (SSD) and realizing the multi- CH recording and playback. Condition for slowing down of the random access speed.

·A variety of comparative evaluation items tested to ensure the real-time-ness.
·The intensity of fragmentation caused by the differences depending on the manufacturer and type of built-in controllers(with commentary on benchmark results).
·the effect of access speed improvement by Erase Format.

introduction and explanation of MADI and DANTE I / F of the DA-6400 was given as well:

·MADI: BNC / Technology of MADI (AES10) to carry out the transmissions up to 64ch in one line of OPTICAL.
·Transfer principle using a 125MHz, and the jitter present in the mechanism , also the differences and considerations of the two schemes used in 2xFs transfer .
·DANTE: introduction of the audio transmission system through the network , called the Audio over IP and its network construction method , the caution points in setting switching hub devices.
