Meeting Topic: Mic Build

Other business or activities at the meeting: We spoke about the upcoming Ribbon Mic build with Austin Microphones on May 15th.

Summary

Thursday 3/17 CRAS students had a chance to build their own small diaphragm, electret condenser microphones. Students bought kits that included; 3 resistors, 3 capacitors, 1 mic capsule, xlr housing, wiring and heat shrink.

We met in Live Sound where students downloaded the step by step keynote on how to assemble the mic. The build was a great success and everyone that was in attendance had a great time. We had a 2nd build at 8:00pm on Saturday night as well.
