Summary

Through an instructor at our school, we were able to contact Bradley Fritz from Threshold Acoustics. We thought this would be a great opportunity for students to explore the acoustics side of the audio industry.
We had a great turnout and were able to raffle off some graciously donated acoustic foam to a student.
At the meeting, Bradley discussed some of the unique and different projects his company has done in the past. He would go on to elaborate and talk about some of the problems they faced doing it and how they found solutions. Students were able to then ask questions about different scenarios for the projects that he was involved in.
He also talked about the in house acoustic treatment testing facility at Threshold Acoustics. This is a cool program that allows clients to choose different acoustic options or combinations by listening to a software representation of the space.
Lastly, he gave an overview of how he ended up in his position and an overview of there intern program that is offered at Threshold Acoustics.
This meeting was overall very successful and when asking other students, they really enjoyed learning about the technical side of acoustics because that may not be something that is prominent in every students mind on a daily basis. It was a great learning experience for everyone involved.
