The meeting was called to order at 8 PM and began with brief introductions of the officers and attendees due to the number of new people at the meeting. After the conclusion of the introductions, the Chapter President began discussing upcoming events, including the upcoming tour of Pyramix Studios on January 23rd and the visit and speaking event by Fred Aldous to the CRAS Campus on January 28th. In addition, details were discussed for the upcoming AEA Mix Contest, and it was announced that the winner would receive an AEA Stereo Bar for use in stereo miking techniques. It was then announced that Luca Pretolesi is confirmed to be doing an event at CRAS on February 25th, and the details of his visit and the impending planning were touched upon and shelved for later discussion by the officers.
The Production Team then moved on to discuss ideas and future events, including a possible contest with Native Instruments to win a Native Instruments bundle. Dave Kohr, the supervising AES Member, stepped in and applauded the team for its work ethic and activities, and urged all present to continue working hard and brainstorming to ensure the CRAS Student Chapter continues to be an active chapter with many unique events.
