Tonight CRAS students had a chance to build their own small diaphragm, electret condenser microphones. Students bought kits that included; 3 resistors, 3 capacitors, 1 mic capsule, xlr housing, wiring and heat shrink. We meet in Live Sound where students downloaded the step by step keynote on how to assemble the mic that was put together by CRAS AES Faculty Advisor Jason Losett. The build was a great success and everyone that was in attendance had a great time. We have a 2nd build scheduled for 8:00pm this upcoming Saturday night.
