Two students gave presentations. Michael Fong presented Joey Sturgis, an engineer/producer who helped create the metalcore genre. Michael's presentation detailed the projects Joey has worked on, how he got started, and the gear (hardware and software) that he uses. Taylor gave a presentation on drums. His presentation contained a brief history of the modern drum set, but was mostly focused on drum terminology. To make it easier to understand, Taylor brought in an full drum set and a wide array of drum sticks. He passed around pieces of the set as he described its name and function.
