Meeting Topic: Building your own Sound Effects Library
Moderator Name: Rochelle Bergen - CRAS AES President
Meeting Location: Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences 1205 N Fiesta Blvd, Gilbert, AZ 85233
Students brought in material to record and build their own sound effects library. Some of the items included were (but not limited to); bingo balls, keys, silverware, a didgeridoo, an electric screwdriver and shoes. A make shift recording booth was set up with 4 mics that fed into a single protools session. After a number of sounds were recorded, the students would listen to the sounds and discuss how they could be utilized and it what kind of way. After the sounds were compiled the students who had thumb drives or external hard drives got a copy of the library to keep.
