At this Thursday's CRAS AES meeting, students got to have a low key question and answer session with CRAS graduates Eric Weaver and Chris Prinzivalli. Both grads have had a great deal of success in the audio industry, and this meeting was a great opportunity for eager students to get answers to questions they've been eager to access the working professionals in the industry. These questions varied widely, from questions on mixing techniques and favorite microphone to inquiries about dealing with living expenses while trying to work up your way in the industry, while balancing a social life. Chris and Eric were able to speak about their internships and the path that they followed afterwards, and they provide many tips on how to get ahead in the industry. Both grads stressed many times the importance of using the school's facilities while the opportunity is there, because knowing the equipment and how it effects the sound is invaluable. The meeting ended up going until 12:00 AM, with the students and graduates all caught up in the sharing of key industry knowledge, and practically forgetting the time as it went by.
