AES Officer Meeting — 4.7.14
New bylaw change to be voted on:
Only AES members with a senior status may run for Chair, while only AES members with a junior or senior status may run for Vice Chair. If elected during professional semester, Vice Chair must still be involved for meetings and planning when available. All other positions are available to any sophomore through senior member.
For members running for positions during the year in which they are serving their professional semester, the member has the responsibility of choosing their replacement during their professional semester, pending approval of a 2/3 or 66% vote by the chapter.
Voting for 2014-2015 year:
Cut off to apply for an AES position is Tuesday April 15th. Voting will take place on Thursday, April 24 at 6pm. All applicants must be present to give a brief speech saying why you would make a good candidate for the position. If you are unable to attend, you must provide a Youtube video of your speech to be played at the voting event.
Voting can be sent to Capital AES Official email for anyone that needs to be absent for the vote. Please cast your vote for every position available at [email protected] and limit to one email. Please submit your vote before 6pm on April 24, OR YOUR VOTE WILL NOT COUNT. Your membership status will be checked whether you are present or voting absentee, so make sure you are up to date on your dues.
To celebrate the passing of torches, we will be providing pizza and will watch Sound City. Please bring your own drinks. Hope to see you then!
