The presenter introduced the different sound synthesis mechanisms used for the creation of sounds for musical purposes, from the analog beginnings to the most current software based developments.
He presented these in chronological order as well as introducing some of the most relevant instruments. He played both sound examples as well as video demonstrations of some of the different techniques involved.
